Auckland Zoo Trip
On Monday we went to the Auckland Zoo; what a wonderful start to our EOTC week. Many thanks to our fantastic parent helpers who made the day a smooth and fun day.
We saw lots of the animals at the zoo and were lucky enough to have a lesson with a zoo teacher in the Te Wao Nui area of the zoo.

Term 2 Catch Up!
We're nearing the end of another crazy term, we can't believe it!
Here's a collection of photos of some awesome things that have happened this term...
Sharing some of our fabulous learning - we love using whiteboards to practice our numbers and letters!
We hosted our own Junior assembly! And shared our bee-utiful bug art!
We have also been celebrating! Celebrating many of our children getting certificates and celebrating some of us having a birthday!
Finally, we have been spending an afternoon a week with our buddy class, Room 12. We have been sharing our learning and they have been sharing their learning with us too! Check out their self portraits!

Our trip to Arataki!
On the 25th of May we went on a trip to the Arataki Visitor's Centre in the Waitakere Ranges.
We went on a really awesome bush walk to the big kauri tree. Then we went and learnt about invertebrates in the classroom. To finish off our fabulous day we went on a bug hunt in the bush and found some really cool bugs!
It was a great day, thank you to the parents that came along with us.

Welcome back to Term 2!
Hi everyone!
We've had a busy start to Term 2, so here's a quick catch up of one of the fun things that we did!
Constable Lorena came in to visit us as a part of the 'Stepping Out' program!
On the first day we learnt about Road Safety:
She taught us how to walk down the street - on the house side of the foot path
She taught us how to cross the road - we need to stop, listen and look both ways
She taught us about 'sneaky' driveways - when you can't see if there are cars coming
On the second day we learnt about Car Safety:
She taught us that we need to sit in a car seat until we are 148 cm (it doesn't matter how old you are!)
We practiced getting in and out of a car safely and doing up our seat belt ourselves
And we even got to hear Constable Lorena's police siren!

Yummy Stickers
Hi everyone!
Just a reminder that we are collecting Yummy stickers at school!
'Yummy' fruit is available at Pak N Save and New World.
For every sheet that we fill out we get some sports gear!

Wonderful Week 6
Last week we had a crazy week!
On Thursday we had photo day, and we all looked very beautiful and handsome.
Just before we went to get our photo taken we got called out to play soccer with Kim.
On Friday we were so excited to have a try at Playball, an afterschool program run at school. If you would like more information on Playball, please comment on this blog post or flick me an email!

We learnt how to stand with our soccer ball.
We learnt how to juggle the ball between our feet.
Kim taught us how to kick goals!
